Angie Avery would like to thank everyone who has baked or worked at the Pie Booth at Windsor Fair last week. God has blessed us this year with proceeds of $1917.00, all of which will go towards Awana. Thank you, Angie, for all you do, and especially for your heart for children and the desire to bring them to Christ through this program.
We are looking for people who are willing to help with a benefit baked bean supper and silent auction on September 27 at Windsor School. If you know of any businesses that would be willing to donate items for the Silent Auction, please let Angie Avery know. We are also in need of coffee cans for the Silent Auction. All proceeds will go towards fuel assistance for people in our community.

WMBC will be hosting the American Baptist Women's Conference Saturday, September 13 with registration beginning at 8:30. Your attendance would be appreciated. There will be a silent auction, so bring in a fall item.

Each week we will be offering something different; 3 different kinds of cookies, 2 different muffin mixes, and 2 different soups. This week we are offering chocolate chip cookies. Each jar costs $5.00 and they make excellent gifts.

Ocober 5, 6, & 7th, WMBC will have the unique opportuniy to offer a 6-hour spiritual growth session presented by the host of Answer the Call, Steve Scheibner. This will definitely be a worthwhile commitment for those seeking personal spiritual growth. Steve can be heard on Answer the Call, which broadcasts at 3:30 p.m. weekdays on 105.9. He is a pastor of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Topsham, Maine and has written numerous Christian articles. In order for this to become a reality, we will need a commitment from people willing to attend these sessions: please sign up on the back table. His topic of discussion is "Faith and Character Matters". Each session will be from 6-8 p.m.
We would like to invite all women of the church to join Mary Martha. This is a group of women who share in spiritual growth and service to the Lord. The women are committed to various functions within the church such as community dinners and assistance where needed. It is a fun group and offers the opportunity to fellowship with other women of all ages. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting, October 11 at 8:30 a.m. here at the church.
